Benicia Tree Foundation’s Second Saturday Tree Care Day in July was held at the Benicia State Recreation Area project site. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and all the trees looked in good shape. The last visit to this project site was May 31st. Many thanks to the four volunteers, Sindy, Steve, Sydney and Julie, who helped water the tree saplings, which is somewhat difficult since they are spread throughout the parks 447 acres. The only hangup that occurred was that I forgot to take pictures to post on the website!
Our Third Thursday Tree Care day will take place July 19th at the Lake Herman Open Space project site, beginning at 10 AM.
