Tree Care Day at Benicia High School

Second Saturday Tree Care Day for May was held at Benicia High School, after the April event was rained out.  The sky was clear on May 11.

Six volunteers checked on 42 trees, removing debris and weeds around the base of the trees and doing some light pruning.  Cages were removed around several trees that have grown large enough that the protection was no longer needed.  The trees are in good shape the summer recess.

Volunteers can find future tree care days listed on the Foundation’s website www.beniciatrees.org/volunteer/
