Overlook Park will be the venue for Benicia’s Arbor Day 2023 to be held on November 18th, from 9AM to Noon. Volunteers are needed to plant 8 trees, spread wood chip mulch in the surrounding planting beds, and prune a few trees. City staff will demonstrate how to plant and prune a tree. Arbor Day is sponsored by the City of Benicia with support from the Benicia Tree Foundation.
Volunteers need to where closed-toe shoes, long pants, gloves and face masks if social distancing is a concern. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Tools will be provided.
