Volunteers are needed on November 15, 2025 to help plant trees at Soroptimist Grove in Benicia’s Community Park. The Benicia Tree Foundation is assisting Soroptimist International of Benicia by recruiting and organizing volunteers. The City of Benicia will be purchasing the trees and digging the holes prior to the event.
Volunteers should arrive at Soroptimist Grove by 9AM. Nine trees will be planted. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and gloves. Tools and training will be provided. The event will end no later than noon. All volunteers must register prior to the event. Click here to register.
Soroptimist International is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. They established Soroptimist Grove in 2011 at the entrance to the Lake Herman Trail in Community Park. See map below for meeting point.
