BENICIA — Say trees!
Err, “cheese.”
Tree advocates are snapping a picture of the city’s first heritage tree on Saturday, and residents are invited to crowd into the shot, the Benicia Tree Foundation says.
“Honoring this tree and recording the moment will take no more time than posting your status on Facebook, but carry far more social meaning,” foundation director Wolfram Alderson said.
Anyone who would like to live on in the annals of Benicia’s arboreal history is asked to show up at 9 a.m. at City Park at Military West and First Street.
