Arc-Solano Helps Maintain Freeway Trees

Last Thursday the Benicia Tree Foundation partnered with Arc-Solano to complete tree maintenance work at the Benicia Tree Foundation’s  Adopt a Highway Project on the I-780 Military West off-ramp.   “We were grateful for Arc-Solano’s help in weeding and mulching around the 18 trees we have growing here.  The trees are now prepared for Caltrans weed-abatement mowing and the dry season”, said Alison Fleck, Benicia Tree Foundation board member.

“Our team enjoyed working outdoors on this great Spring morning and they look forward to a volunteering at a future Tree Care Day”, said Tami Huizen, Day Program Coordinator for Arc-Solano.

Arc-Solano is a non-profit organization that promotes personal growth, community understanding, and full participation of people with developmental disabilities and their families in Solano County.

Volunteers can find future tree care days listed on the Foundation’s website www.beniciatrees.org/volunteer/
