2018 Arbor Day – Ten Trees Planted at Francesca Terrace Park

The Benicia Tree Foundation would like to thank those who helped make Benicia’s 2018 Arbor Day celebration a success.  This community tree planting event took place on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Francesca Terrace Park under mostly blue sky.  Ten Deodara cedar trees were planted by a group of volunteers that included representatives from Benicia Boy Scout Troop 007, Cub Scout Pack 108, and Mr. Upton’s classes at Benicia High School.  In addition to these groups, we would like to thank the Benicia Herald for publicizing the event, and the City of Benicia which includes its dedicated employees from the Parks and Community Services Department.  This community support helps keep our city beautiful and sustainable, and helps Benicia maintain its Tree City USA designation.
