Tree Planting at Military West Interchange on Nov. 7

October 30, 2020

The westbound freeway offamp to Military West is the site for a tree planting project on November 7, beginning at 9 AM.  Volunteers are needed to plant 22 trees.  The event will end no later than noon.

We have a limit on the volunteers for this event to allow for social distancing. To help us track attendance, we ask volunteers to register at www.beniciatrees.org/volunteer/opportunities, or leave their contact information at info@beniciatrees.org or 707-745-4546.

Additional saftey measure for this event include:

  • All volunteers must wear a face mask when maintaining a physical distance of six feet from persons who are not members of the same household or residence is not feasible;
  • Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and bring your own gloves if you have them.
  • A safety briefing will be provided to volunteers prior to the start of work.
Once you register for the event, you will receive detailed information on where to meet and the additional Caltrans safety  procedures that must be followed.  This project is courtesy of a Adopt a Highway permit provided by Caltrans to the In Honor of Mother Earth group which picks up litter in this area.
